Power couple Brad Pitt and Angelia Jolie donate $1 million dollars to the children of Iraq through their charitable ‘Jolie-Pitt Foundation.’
The Jolie-Pitt Foundation gave $500,000 to three separate groups in Iraq to provide aid for about 5,700 children who have lost their parents, homes and schools due to the ongoing war.
The Foundation also gave $500,000 to the Armed Services YMCA Operation Hero Program, to help those children who have lost an enlisted parent killed in Iraq, or who are separated from a parent who is stationed in Iraq.
If that wasn’t impressive enough, outside of being hollywood actors, Angelina serves as a goodwill ambassador for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and Brad is a leading advocate for relief in the Darfur region and for victims of Hurricane Katrina on the US Gulf Coast.
