Darius Miller Is Getting Support From His Clientle
Darius Miller, fitness trainer to several stars including Usher and many NFL players, is currently in critical condition in Atlanta’s Emory Crawford Long Hospital.
After hanging out with friends at D’Jangos nightclub in the A, he became the victim of a random brutal beating.
As he was escorting 35-year-old Kai Franklin Graham, 29-year-old Kali Jamilla Franklin, - the daughters of ATL’s Mayor Shirley Franklin - and a third woman to their vehicles, a group of men began filming the three ladies and calling them derogatory names. 41-year-old Miller attempted to stop the ignorant dudes and even tried to walk away from the nonsense. As he headed toward his car, allegedly the guys thought he was going for a weapon and about seven to ten jumped him and beat him unconscious.
The group of idiots are allegedly contracted by a local Web-based party promotions company, 01 Entertainment, but currently the lawyers for the company are claiming that Darius was knocked unconscious after he fell to the ground during a physical confrontation with a cameraman.
ATL police issue an arrest warrant on Friday, December 28th for 24-year-old Apollo Holmes in relation to the beating. Today, he turned himself in and was charged with aggravated assault.
On Saturday, Mayor Shirley Franklin’s s office e-mailed a statement criticizing the news media. She did not address questions about the latest reports involving her daughters.
“This is an ongoing criminal investigation and as such all comments are best made to the Atlanta Police Department and not the press.“As mayor I stand by APD’s best practice standards for criminal investigations rather than reckless and unprofessional press frenzy. As the daughter of an attorney and Pennsylvania judge I stand by my belief that trial by public opinion and reckless media often advance inaccurate and dangerous conclusions.”
So far Darius’ celebrity clientele have been pouring into the hospital to show their support. So far visitors have included T-Boz, Ronnie DeVoe, Mase, Keshia Knight Pulliam and Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Takeo Spikes.
